Arsenal are the best team in Europe right now. Top of the Premier League and they’ve just made light work of Bayern Munich to put themselves top of the Champions League Table. On Sunday we have another mouthwatering clash to look forward to as the Gunners take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are in great form too, hammering Barcelona 3-0 and they are currently the closest contenders to Arsenal, sitting just 6 points behind them.
This is still a young Chelsea squad though and one still without Cole Palmer. They have some exciting players, none more so than 18 year old Estêvão, but they probably lack the consistency to mount a serious title challenge.
Arsenal are likely to be too good and too organised for Chelsea and any bets I place have to be with them. They’ve managed 10 wins out if the last 11 keeping 8 clean sheets and they’ve done that whilst missing 6 of their best players. If it wasn’t for a wonder goal by Richarlison, it would have been a comfortable 9 Clean sheets from 11.
Those Arteta naysayers aren’t so loud right now.
In a huge boost to the Gunners squad, Odegard and Martinelli were back involved on Wednesday night and you wouldn’t put it past Arsenal to keep yet another clean sheet on Sunday. Odds of 3/1 look decent to me.
